SIG was founded in New York in 1980 as an investment group specializing in commercial real estate investments and the oil industry. Within seven years, in 1987, the company expanded its horizons by diversifying its investments among medical, transportation, and hi-tech industries generating an extensive portfolio throughout New York City.

Twenty-five years later and following successful growth in New York, SIG embarked upon an international expansion program by forming strategic alliances with partners in Israel. Within two years the company evolved into one of the top three fastest growing investment groups in Israel, investing in commercial and residential real estate ranging from shopping centers to hotels and government housing. Thereafter, SIG acquired controlling interest in one of Israel's largest engineering firms, Gadish Group Engineering & Management, with over one hundred engineers and a current project valued backlog of approximately fifty million dollars.
